Just where did the owner come up with the brewery's name?
As part of Tony's day job activities, he collects water samples at one of the local streams. One of the streams has a beaver lodge upstream from the water sampling point. Occasionally, Tony would see a beaver out in the water collecting sticks, dragging branches, swimming around, etc.
Initially, the beaver was scared, but over time the beaver became used to Tony collecting samples.
One spring day, as he drove the road that runs next to the stream, Tony saw something on the side of the road. Sadly, it was the beaver. He was bummed that the poor thing got ran over.
So in memory of the beaver on that fateful day, they named the brewery after it.
Bummin' Beaver Brewery is located in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
